4 Lessons I Learned From my DaughterRecently, my daughter turned 4 years old. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. It feels like it was only yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital, all 8.6 pounds of her. I still remember the newness of those early days. The Olympics had just finished, and the 2008 presidential election was under way.

Juli Fraga, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist. She has a private practice in San Francisco, California where she practices at the ?Root and the Branch,? a holistic health and wellness clinic. Here, she specializes in women?s health concerns especially as they relate to maternal and reproductive health. Juli also facilitates postpartum support groups for the Great Expectations program at UCSF, and is currently co-developing a 4-week group, ?The Afterglow,? which will be held at UCSF in January 2013. Clinically, she integrates mindfulness-based practices and psychoanalytic theories into her work.
